With heavy R&D in machine intelligence and new business milestones like acquiring e-commerce giant Flipkart as customer and launching automated product tagging, ViSenze was awarded as Most Promising Startup at the Emerging Enterprise 2015 Gala Dinner held at Shangri-la Hotel in Singapore.
The Emerging Enterprise Awards, at their 8th edition this year, selected the most outstanding SMEs in Singapore after careful evaluation of proven business progress and growth ambitions. ViSenze was selected among the 14 finalists shortlisted from over 600 entries, and awarded as Most Promising Startup among the 5 winners announced this week.
Ever since spinning-off from National University of Singapore in 2012, ViSenze has proven itself with clear competitive edge, strong management capabilities and outstanding achievements - qualities which convinced the jury that company is worthy of being the winner of Most Promising Startup Award.
The careful selection of finalists and the financial evaluations took place over the past few months. On top of proving past success of delivering a robust visual search and product recommendation solution to customers like Patsnap, Zalora, Rakuten and more, ViSenze also improved its product capability to address new requirements from customers.
For instance, during the award selection process, ViSenze has acquired new customers like Flipkart - the largest e-commerce player in India valued at more than USD 15 billion, and launched its image recognition solution for automated product tagging in digital catalogs.
“I think this award is a good testimony to the many milestones we have achieved in our 3 years of existence. And I take this award as a further encouragement of the potential we have yet to reach”, said Oliver Tan, Co-Founder and CEO at ViSenze.
ViSenze is looking forward to attract more talents by winning this award. On a mission to simplify the visual web with the power of machine intelligence, the company has several open positions to fill and is constantly looking for the best people to continue pushing the boundaries of innovation and make a positive difference for the business customers.
“We look for people with the same drive, passion and curiosity to join our cause to solve real-world problems in the computer vision and deep learning space. We are also looking for business professionals that can help us fuel our global expansion.”, said Oliver Tan, Co-Founder and CEO at ViSenze.
